Enjoy homemade jam

 

There are plenty of different ways to enjoy jam. Use it in a roulade, spread it between layered pancakes, smother it on freshly-made waffles or use it to make a summer ice-cream. Be inspired by our recipes!

Roulade

Roulade

 

Serves 15

Ingredients
3 eggs
2 dl Dansukker Cane Sugar
2 dl plain flour
1 ½ tsp baking powder
2 tbsp boiling water

Filling
100-150 g jam, purée or marmalade


Beat the eggs and cane sugar until white and fluffy. Mix the flour and baking powder together, and fold into the mixture along with the water. Bake in the centre of the oven at 250ºC for about 5 minutes. Turn out onto sugared paper. Spread on the jam and roll up. Refrigerate the roulade.

 

 

 
 

Pancake gateau

Pancake gateau

 
Serves 4-6

Ingredients
Batter
3 dl plain flour
1 tbsp Dansukker Granulated Sugar
½ tsp salt
6 dl milk
3 eggs
butter or margarine for frying

To fill and decorate
approx. 500 g berries (any kind)
jam
approx. 3 dl whipping cream
Dansukker Icing Sugar


Combine the dry ingredients in a bowl. Add half the milk and stir to give a smooth batter. Add the eggs and the rest of the milk, and beat until well mixed.

Heat a pancake griddle or a frying pan. Add a little butter or margarine. Pour in the batter and fry.

Save the best-looking berries to use as decoration. Layer the pancakes with jam, berries and whipped cream in between. Decorate with berries and dust with icing sugar.

 

 

 
 

Jam cakes

Jam cakes

 
Ingredients
4 ½ dl plain flour
1 dl Dansukker Icing Sugar
200 g butter or margarine

Work together the flour, icing sugar and butter to form a dough. Roll the dough into small balls and place into small paper cases. Make a little hole in each ball and pop a dollop of jam in the hole. Bake the jam cakes in the centre of the oven at 175°C for about 10 minutes.

 

 

 
 

Yoghurt ice cream

Yoghurt ice cream

 

Serves 4

Ingredients
2 egg yolks
½ dl Dansukker Icing Sugar
1 tsp Dansukker Vanilla Sugar
1 dl jam, e.g. raspberry jam
1 dl whipping cream
2 dl yoghurt


Beat the egg yolks, icing sugar and vanilla sugar. Mix in the jam.

Whip the cream until stiff. Stir the cream and yoghurt into the egg yolk and sugar mixture.

Pour the yoghurt ice cream into a container and freeze for approx. 4 hours.

Allow the yoghurt ice cream to defrost for a while in the fridge before serving.

 

 

 
 

Easy crispy waffles

Easy crispy waffles

 
makes approx. 10

Ingredients
100 g butter or margarine
2 ½ dl water
3 ½ dl plain flour
1 tsp Dansukker Vanilla Sugar
1 tbsp Dansukker Cane Sugar
2 dl milk
2 tsp baking powder


Melt the fat and let it cool.

Mix the water, flour, vanilla sugar, cane sugar, milk and baking powder to give a smooth batter. Add the cooled fat.

Cook the waffles until golden in a greased waffle iron. Serve immediately with jam and cream.
